Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya was eliminated in the fourth round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, losing to Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko in a lopsided match.
The 27-year-old Kalinskaya, seeded 22nd, fell to the world No. 36 Ostapenko with a scoreline of 1-6, 2-6.

Ostapenko, the 2017 Roland Garros champion, will face Romania’s Sorana Cirstea in the quarterfinals.
Kalinskaya is currently ranked 24th in the world, making her the fifth-highest Russian player on the WTA list. She has yet to win a WTA title.
The Rome tournament, which offers a prize pool of €7.22 million, is set to conclude on May 16. It is classified as a WTA 1000 event, trailing only the Grand Slams and the WTA Finals in prestige.
