The entire Barça roster boarded a convertible bus to parade the league trophy, with thousands of fans lining the streets of Barcelona to honor Hansi Flick’s side, now in his second season at the helm. The atmosphere was electric both on the ground and atop the slow-moving vehicle, which crawled through the city center amid chants and cheers.

From the very start of the route, two players took command of the bus, sitting at the very front where fans could see them first as the procession approached. That duo was the Polish contingent: Robert Lewandowski on the right and Wojciech Szczesny on his left. Both wore sunglasses, soaking in the spectacular afternoon sunshine. For the No. 9, this moment carried extra weight, as signs point to this being his final campaign with Barça after four years since leaving Bayern Munich, during which he has secured three league titles.

His teammate, a year older and with no intention of cutting his contract short, became one of the festival’s standout figures. Many Culés greeted him with the now-familiar chant: “Szczesny fumador, Szczesny fumador” (Szczesny the smoker). The goalkeeper, never one to shy away from the spotlight, obliged—armed with a vape pen, he took several long drags and blew smoke into the crowd, earning roars of approval from the packed streets.

Tek couldn’t stay still, constantly moving but always returning to the makeshift balcony the Polish pair had set up on the bus roof. During one of his excursions, he came back with a container holding three different flavors of ice cream, which he shared with Lewandowski. Even Flick stopped by to grab a portion. “Here you go, boss,” Robert seemed to say as he handed it over. Lewandowski even snatched a microphone from a Polish media outlet to give a quick interview, all while bobbing along to the chants echoing from the fans. Pizza arrived later—and Monday would be back to diet.

But the most memorable moment came just after 7:30 PM, when Lewandowski unabashedly grabbed a massive *estelada* (the Catalan independence flag) and waved it from the front of the bus. The gesture drew enormous cheers from the crowd. Raphinha was next to take the flag and recreate the photo Robert had offered. Both repeated what Iñigo Martínez had done a year earlier, when he also flew the pro-independence banner during the champions’ parade.
